AUS soccer action at Dal

If you love soccer, you鈥檒l want to be at 新澳门六合彩 this weekend.

新澳门六合彩鈥檚 Department of Athletics and Recreational Services is hosting the 2009 Subway AUS Men鈥檚 Soccer Championship at Wickwire Memorial Field starting on Friday and running through Sunday.

The top six Atlantic University Sport (AUS) teams will descend on Dalhousie鈥檚 campus for the event, including UNB鈥檚 Varsity Reds, Universite de Moncton鈥檚 Aigles Bleus, UPEI鈥檚 Panthers and St. Francis Xavier鈥檚 X-men as quarter-finalists, and number-one seed Cape Breton University鈥檚 Capers and the 2008-09 defending champion Dalhousie Tigers as the number-two seed.

The AUS men鈥檚 soccer conference is very competitive and all six teams involved have a legitimate chance of winning the banner.

Tournament schedule

Friday, Nov. 6:
- 12 p.m. Quarter-final - UNB (3rd ) vs. UdeM (6th )
- 3 p.m. Quarter-final - UPEI (4th ) vs. StFX (5th )

Saturday, Nov. 7:
- 12 p.m. Semifinal - CBU (1st ) vs. lowest remaining seed
3 p.m. Semifinal - Dal (2nd ) vs. highest remaining seed

Sunday, Nov. 8
1 p.m. Final听vs. semifinal winners

The top two finishers from the regular standings automatically advance to semifinal games on Saturday facing the winners of the two quarter-final games. The winners of the two semifinal games will face off in the championship game on Sunday.

Event and day pass tickets are available for purchase through the Dalplex Customer Service Centre (494-3372) as of Wednesday, Nov. 4 and also at the gate. Dalhousie students and Black and Gold Event Pass holders can attend for free.

Event packages are $18 for adults, $16 for Dalplex members & Dal alumni and staff, $12 for non-Dalhousie students.
