Eight distinguished people are to beawarded honorary degrees by 新澳门六合彩 at convocationceremonies between May 25 and June 2 in front of thousands ofstudents and their families.

The honorary graduands come from Canada,the UK, United States and Bermuda, and from the worlds ofliterature, science, law and business. They include two Nobellaureates.

Nova Scotian author BudgeWilson;
Scientist Sir JohnHoughton, co-founder of听 the United NationsIntergovernmental Panel on Climate Change;
Pharmacist MurrayKoffler, founder of Shoppers Drug Mart;
Nancy Gosling, presidentand CEO of Bermuda rum manufacturer Gosling Brothers Ltd.;
Randolph Hester, Jr.,professor of landscape architecture, environmental planning andurban planning at the University of California, Berkeley;
Businessman RichardCurrie, former president of Loblaw's Ltd., George WestonLtd. and Bell Canada Enterprises;
The Hon. Justice ThomasCromwell, the first Dalhousie law professor to be named tothe Supreme Court of Canada;
Geneticist Sir PaulNurse, a 2001 Nobel Prize in Medicine winner.
