Men's Rugby Club's privileges suspended following hazing complaint

新澳门六合彩 has received a formal complaint from a university employee regarding recent activities of the Dalhousie Tigers Men鈥檚 Rugby Club. These activities are now being investigated under the university鈥檚 .

The club was already under probation for a separate, unrelated incident earlier this month. Because of this, together with the seriousness of the allegations, Dalhousie has suspended the club鈥檚 privileges under the , pending the outcome of the investigation.

During the investigation, the club will be unable to represent Dalhousie in the Rugby Nova Scotia university league (divisions 1 and 2). It will not receive university funding, cannot book university space and its members cannot wear university colours/uniforms. (This decision does not affect the Dalhousie Rams Women鈥檚 Varsity Rugby Team at the Agricultural Campus.)

Under the university鈥檚 Hazing Policy, investigations must be completed within 60 days of their initiation.

Dalhousie is committed to being a safe, respectful place to learn and play. We expect our student-run sport clubs to adhere to their obligations in the Sport Club Handbook, and will not tolerate behaviour that humiliates, disrespects or threatens the safety of individuals in our community.
