Marisa Mota, Volleyball
Fifth-year libero Marisa Mota is this week鈥檚 G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
Marisa led the Tigers to a fifth-place finish at the U SPORTS championships in Toronto over the weekend.
In Friday鈥檚 quarter-final against l鈥檜niversit茅 de Montr茅al, Marisa had 11 digs in the Tigers 3-0 loss and was named player of the match for her efforts.
She was tough on defence again on Saturday, earning 16 digs to lead the Tigers to a 3-1 victory over the host Ryerson Rams in the second consolation semifinal.
The Tigers earned a fifth-place finish on Sunday, defeating the Western Mustangs 3-0. A second team all-Canadian Marisa had 13 digs in the match.
An arts student, Marisa is from Kitchener, O.N.
