On April 24th, 2018 the Dal Health community came together for the first-ever Research Celebration, an event recognizing the transformational health research taking place in our Faculty.
With our researchers exploring a wide-range of topics, and the interprofessional, collaborative nature of our work - the Faculty of Health is uniquely positioned to have an immediate impact on the health and well-being of people in our community, and around the world.
The presentations of our invited speakers and researchers all touched on the themes of research diversity, innovation, collaboration, and partnership - in line not only with Dal Health's strategic plan, but also those of the University and the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness.
The event was also an opportunity to celebrate our annual research award winners:
- Mohammad Hajizadeh, School of Health Administration - Early Career Research Award
- Sara Kirk, School of Health and Human Performance, and Healthy Populations Institute - Senior Research Excellence Award
As we continue to grow our research enterprise and embark on exciting new initiatives, we'll have much to celebrate in the coming year.
